Touchless <\/strong>devices are increasingly revolutionizing the way we live at home.<\/strong> Voice-controlled systems<\/strong> are being used more and more often, especially since they are designed to adapt and integrate perfectly into<\/strong> our pandemic lifestyle.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The need to interact remotely with things and people<\/strong> has led all of us to rely on touchless technology.\u00a0Does this mean that the next trend will result in the disappearance of<\/strong> buttons and switches?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not necessarily. However, rapid global changes have changed the<\/strong> way we relate to home devices<\/strong>. Let’s see how.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voice commands and apps as substitutes for switches<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We now have a completely different approach <\/strong>to interacting within the spaces of our home than we did in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These days we can open the door by turning off the alarm through an app installed on our smartphone<\/strong> and, when we enter, a sensor can turn on<\/strong> the light<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All taps in the house<\/strong> can be equipped with sensors for turning the<\/strong> water on and off.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A smart speaker<\/strong> can start our favourite music through a simple voice request<\/strong>, and an app like  Ai-Sun <\/strong> can open the<\/strong> curtains at a particular time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In leading full lives, we search for autonomous devices<\/strong> that simplify our daily activities <\/strong>as much as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stand-alone and easy-to-programme devices<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As our commitments cause us to spend more time outside the home, there is a need to have appliances and autonomous devices<\/strong> that can be programmed to carry out certain activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why robot vacuum cleaners<\/strong>, <\/strong>for example, are becoming increasingly popular: their functions can be activated remotely<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Switches are being replaced by voice commands, touchless<\/strong> devices <\/strong>and new systems with integrated wireless<\/strong> connection.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lights can be turned on and off without switches<\/strong>; curtains <\/strong>can be drawn or opened in a new, aesthetically pleasing<\/strong> way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well as being more practical,<\/strong> touchless devices also have a simpler and less chaotic design <\/strong>(no wires and switches). Just think of the elegance of double-glazing blinds <\/strong> that can be managed with an app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reassuring and easy-to-use systems<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Touchless devices  are simple to use; they can be activated with a voice command that makes everything even easier to manage.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being secure in the knowledge<\/strong> that once you leave the house a voice assistant <\/strong>will ensure that the lights are turned off, and that certain utilities are deactivated, is an advantage in terms of peace of mind.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although touchless  is a new technology, its ability to be used  intuitively<\/strong>, with only a little initial practice, makes it clear that the future of home management <\/strong> has no buttons and switches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The future is touchless<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the near future, not only will there be no need to press a button to activate our appliances, but most likely the appliances will know for themselves when and how to turn on<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is already an important development in terms of optimising energy consumption: <\/strong>using geolocation apps on smartphones, heating systems <\/strong>will know when to activate<\/strong>, and curtains <\/strong>will know when to open and close to reach the optimum  temperature on our return home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
